About Me
Kevin Rice, MA, LMFT
(He/They)
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist providing individual, couples, play-based, and family therapy in the Denver Metro area. I was born and raised in Aurora, CO. I count myself among those natives that people often claim don’t exist anymore, and I welcome those from far away with open arms.
When I am away from work, I enjoy camping, hiking, biking, and getting out in the snow. I also find relaxation in playing video games, reading, and spending time around a fire with my wife and daughter.
My life experiences have taught me that through equity, social justice, and the act of speaking truth to power, we all benefit.
I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder (Sko Buffs!) and my Master’s Degree from Regis University. While at Regis, I served as President of the Delta Kappa Honors Society for Marriage and Family Therapists.
My clinical experience includes working with individuals in Emergency Services and their families while in a private practice setting, as well as providing school-based therapeutic services for school-aged children in grades K-8.
I have completed play therapy coursework at Regis University and am continuing my work towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist in the state of Colorado.
My approach to therapy is person-centered and systemic in nature. I view therapy as an acknowledgment of a desire to become more attuned to the way that you experience your relationship with yourself and others. There are constant signs, traditions, and experiences, that have taught us how to function in different areas within our lives.
In coming to know and understand these things that we’ve internalized, we can become more accepting and capable of moving towards our goals.
I look forward to meeting you, holding space for you, and accompanying you towards your personal and relationship goals.
